Her voice calms the storm

Her smile chases off fear

Her song a bedtime lullaby

Her kiss makes pain disappear

She always loves unflinchingly

Even when love’s not earned

She never asks for payment

Other than love returned

Her arms are my safe haven

She’s always been there for me

I thank God for her eternally

My mother she’ll always be
